Before we get into the good, we first need to address some of the negative reviews that people have given.

1. Only works with close WiFi/Doesn’t work well with WiFi connection/Can't hook-up to the net.

While many customers do not encounter any problems with WiFi, it is important to address concerns related to this. The sensor is typically installed in basements or tanks, which may be located at a distance from your router. Before purchasing the sensor, we recommend that you use your smartphone or tablet to check if the WiFi signal strength is reasonable in the location where you plan to plug in the base unit. It's important to note that the sensor can only connect to 2.4GHz WiFi and not 5G WiFi. If there are still issues with the connection, we are happy to help troubleshoot any problems.

1. There's no water touching it and it's alarming even when it's supposed to alarm when the tank is full.

The sensor uses a float switch, which may trigger a false alarm if the float cable is not properly installed. We have updated the design to resolve this issue, and the float switch is now fully waterproof with a single 25 ft long cable.

1. Poor installation instructions.

We provide detailed installation instructions in the quick start guide included in the package, as well as online in the user manuals section under 'Proteus L5 Installation Guide'.

1. Drops WiFi connection multiple times a day.

If you experience frequent dropouts, there are several steps you can take to troubleshoot the issue, such as trying a spare USB power adapter or relocating the base unit.

1. Bad Wiring Out of the Box.

In the rare event that the wiring is faulty, we will replace the cable to ensure that the sensor works properly.

1. Texts don’t work in Canada.

We offer free text support via email to SMS service, which is compatible with most carriers in the US and Canada.

1. Stopped working after 2 months/Issues after 1 year of use.

If you encounter any issues with the sensor, apart from mechanical damage, we are happy to troubleshoot and assist with resolving any problems.

1. Useless with the delay.

This was an issue in the past, but has since been fixed. Alerts can now be configured to as quick as 10 minutes.

1. Install is clunky and incomplete interface to Google Home system.

We do not offer a ready-to-use Google Home interface, but the sensor is compatible with many other systems such as Alexa, Home-Assistant, OpenHab, JSON API, and Cloud Push.
